Chase The Royal Video Poker

We all love video poker which means deep down we are Royal Flush seekers.
We crave that king of poker hands, trying day and night to hit that juicy
jackpot. Well folks, we’ve got the right game for us now.
Chase the Royal is a video poker game developed by IGT (International Game Technology) which makes, if not easier, at least more likely to get Royal Flushes on a regular basis. That is how the game got its name; a special bonus feature that grants 3 random Royal Flush cards when you are dealt a pair of Jacks, Queens, or Kings on the initial 5 card draw. The bonus feature is optional, the player can decide to keep the dealt cards or exchange them for 3 cards to a Royal Flush.
This interesting feature is applied to 4 popular video poker games:
- Jacks or Better
- Bonus Poker
- Double Bonus Poker
- Double Double Bonus Poker
IGT provides Chase the Royal in multi-hand version. It is available in Triple Play, Five Play and Ten Play. The player gets to bet in 3, 5 or 10 simultaneous hands. The player gets to hold cards on one main poker hand and these cards are transferred and held on all other hands. When the Draw button is pressed a separate 52-card deck will deal new cards for each hand.

How to Play Chase the Royal Poker
You don’t need to learn any new rules for this game if you already know how to play draw video poker. The objective of the game is the same, to create the highest 5-card poker hand in two deals of cards. Chase the Royal in any variant (Jacks or Better, Bonus Poker, Double Bonus or Double Double Bonus) is played with a 52-card deck that is shuffled after each hand is played.
Chase the Royal is commonly found in IGT’s Game King multi-hand machine. As noted above there are four games to choose from, so select the game that you prefer. Select how many hands you want to play simultaneously (3, 5 or 10).
After entering money into the machine, select how many credits you want to bet per hand. A maximum bet of 5 coins can be wagered per hand. By pressing the Bet Max button, 5 credits will be bet on all participating hands. Once you place the bet, press the Deal button to begin the game.
The machine will deal 5 cards to you and you may select which cards to hold (if any) and discard the rest. The payout is made according to each game’s pay table.
Now, if you are dealt a pair of Jacks, Queens or Kings on the first draw a pop-up window will appear asking you if you want to “chase the royal.” Chasing for a royal means swapping your 5 current cards (with the high pair) for three random suited high cards. When choosing these cards you will deal for 2 new cards in hopes of completing a Royal Flush. The 3 suited high cards will be held for all hands that are being played and a separate deck will deal two new cards for each hand.
When choosing to “chase the royal” a bonus payout will be added to regular straights and flushes. An extraordinary jackpot prize is awarded if you get a Royal Flush on all participating hands.
